Welcome to FuvahmulahMap.com ("the Platform"), a community-driven interactive map of Fuvahmulah City, Maldives. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using FuvahmulahMap.com (including the website, mobile applications, and API), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all visitors, users, contributors, and anyone who accesses the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Fuvahmulah Map is a community-driven platform that provides an interactive map of Fuvahmulah City. The Platform allows users to:

• Browse and search for places, businesses, landmarks, and points of interest
• Contribute new places and update existing information
• Upload images including photos, menus, and product images
• Access research and project management tools for geographic data
• Optimize delivery routes
• View community statistics and leaderboards

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

Some features require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Platform or its community.

4. User Contributions

4.1 Content Submissions

Users with contributor or moderator roles may submit places, edits, and other content ("Contributions"). All Contributions are subject to review and moderation before being published on the Platform.

4.2 Content Standards

You agree that your Contributions will:

• Be accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
• Not contain any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or offensive material
• Not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Not contain spam, advertisements, or promotional material unrelated to the place listing
• Respect the privacy of individuals and businesses

4.3 License to Contributions

By submitting Contributions, you grant Fuvahmulah Map a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your Contributions in connection with the Platform. You retain ownership of your original content but acknowledge that Contributions become part of the community map database.

5. Image Uploads

Users may upload images including place photos, menu images, product images, and avatars. By uploading images, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload the images
• The images do not violate any person's privacy or intellectual property rights
• The images are appropriate and do not contain illegal, offensive, or harmful content

We reserve the right to remove any images that violate these Terms or that we deem inappropriate at our sole discretion.

6. User Roles and Permissions

The Platform operates with a role-based access system. Roles (Contributor, Moderator, Researcher, Admin, Delivery) are assigned by administrators. Users with elevated roles agree to:

• Use their permissions responsibly and in good faith
• Not abuse their access to modify or delete content inappropriately
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Platform's data
• Keep any non-public data accessed through their role confidential

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or the Platform's systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or services
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Use the Platform to distribute malware or malicious content

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, logo, features, and original content, is owned by Fuvahmulah Map and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The community-contributed map data is collectively maintained and licensed as described in Section 4.3.

The Platform uses third-party mapping services and data. These are subject to their respective terms of use and licenses.

9. Premium Features

Certain features of the Platform, including featured business listings and advanced research tools, may require a fee. Pricing, payment terms, and refund policies for premium features will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any map data, place information, or user-contributed content
• The availability or uninterrupted operation of the Platform
• The suitability of the Platform for any particular purpose

Map data and place information are community-contributed and may contain errors or be outdated. Always verify critical information independently.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fuvahmulah Map, its creators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes but is not limited to damages resulting from reliance on map data, navigation directions, place information, or any content on the Platform.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fuvahmulah Map, its creators, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your Contributions, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Maldives.
